Client Testimonials

Conflict, Career, &
Life Coaching

Employed Mom of Four
Anonymous Conflict & Life Coaching Client

“I appreciated Samar's approach in taking the time to understand my personality and objectives before our coaching session. Unlike my experiences with therapy, where sometimes there's a disconnect because my therapist doesn't fully grasp who I am, Samar focused on understanding me. While my therapist means well, she often relies on conventional motivational techniques like accountability partners, which haven't proven effective for me. During our call, Samar concentrated on practical steps I could take to achieve my goals. I've found working with Samar to be immensely rewarding and would recommend her to anyone seeking extra support in achieving their goals.”

Aiman — College Student
Career & Life Coaching Client

“Before starting life coaching sessions, I had several concerns and doubts. I was mired in a prolonged period of stagnation, with my relative's health significantly impacting my motivation in pursuing further education and participating in the community. I was unsure how to get out of this "funk" and what smart decisions to make in the upcoming year. I wanted perspective on master's programs versus certificates and finding individuals would are a positive influence. Additionally, I needed tips on how to approach my boss to redefine my responsibilities at my medical assistant job to ensure I gained necessary experience prior to PA school.

Prior to coaching, I did not have a comprehensive game plan for the next year. This made me feel overwhelmed. With Samar, I learned how to set actionable steps towards my career objectives and they weren't your typical SMART goals. The tips she gave me for what bosses look for and what to avoid has been invaluable and it has made me a kind yet assertive individual. Additionally, she taught me how to leverage my network and proper email etiquette for shadowing medical professionals. I felt relieved to be taking meaningful steps for my future!

It’s easy for life coaches to talk more than their clients, but Samar listened to me so patiently. Her ability to empathize, coupled with her willingness to challenge my perspectives has been pivotal in uncovering solutions for me. She made daunting issues seem smaller and more approachable, which reduced my anxiety and stubbornness.

I highly recommend Samar for everyone, especially individuals in their 20s. Engaging with her feels like conversing with an insightful and mature friend rather than navigating an age gap – and I’m not calling her “old”! She has a thorough understanding of contemporary challenges and is proactive in recommending other resources to support your growth. While perfection is elusive, coaching with Samar provides the tools and screws to approach it very closely.”

“One of the main concerns I had before my session was in regards my lack of prioritizing time for self-care and time with my family. These are two things that always weigh on my mind, especially as my schedule continues to become more busy. I simply thought that I needed to make a change now, rather than later. After coaching with Samar, I feel more in control of my schedule. It is easier for me to put time for myself as well as my family.

Samar was able to help me break down everything and spread it all out to take a look at. This was helpful, since it made the issue smaller than it originally was. I would recommend coaching since it helps with resolving issues on a piece by piece level. Full-time university students who are also working would benefit from this.”

Mariam — Mom of Three Adult Daughters

“Hello, I’m Mariam, mom of 3 adult girls. I was a full time travel agent for over 25 years, but after closing my agency a couple of years ago I turned my passion for baking into a career. I found Samar to be very attentive and helpful. She asked the right questions and gave proper advice. I was concerned about my health, eating habits and life in general. I would recommend Samar to others seeking life, career, or business coaching because she’s good at listening and giving advice.”

Assistant School Principal in Her Late 20s
Anonymous Career, Conflict, & Life Coaching Client

“I am an assistant principal in my late twenties. Working in a toxic environment took its toll, and I was able to get the help I didn't even realize I needed from Samar through her career and life coaching.

When I first found out Samar was offering life coaching, I felt happy and proud of her accomplishments. However, I immediately dismissed the idea of it being something for me. I thought of life coaching as a trendy, nonsensical fad of the 21st century. I believed I was fine – I either did something or I didn't. I didn't have time to sit with my feelings or talk about them; I had work to do and that was my only option. Additionally, I wasn't sure if she could actually help me. Talk wasn't the answer to my problems, that was for sure. Did I even need help? I knew I was struggling, but I couldn't articulate my issues and didn't have the time to try. I was also afraid of the consequences of opening that door. I questioned how effective it could really be.

My doubt postponed me receiving the help I didn't know I needed, but changed my life once received.

When I finally decided to say "YES!" to life coaching – it was a result of the positive changes that began manifesting in my life as a result of our first phone call. However to get to that first session was one could say, divine intervention. I was stubborn and did not intend to still receive life-coaching. However, my sister set-up the meeting and I answered Samar's call. As I began to share what was going on, Samar listened and helped me work through solutions, she named things I hadn't recognized but felt the effects of. I realized in that moment there really was help. Yes, I needed to make changes and I would be the one to do it, but that guidance was necessary and Samar provided it!

The way I felt after coaching with Samar was literally life-changing. Before the coaching I struggled to make the necessary moves to remove myself from an oppressive environment. Samar not only guided me through my own thoughts and helped me come up with my own solutions to my issues, but she helped me do the things I did not have the confidence to do. She asked me questions that made me stop and think after always being on the go. I did not believe life-coaching was something helpful, but it was life-changing. It works to change things for your future, it helps you move forward and regain your power. I decided to shift careers, reconnect to my Lord, and take a moment to really evaluate my situations. I can never express enough the gratitude I have for the support and time Samar invested in me. It was like a true friend who came to support me through a very difficult time.

Samar's coaching style is both compassionate and empowering, which significantly increased my trust in her and boosted my confidence, hope, and sense of autonomy.  She has a unique ability to help me name and understand the issues I was facing, many of which I hadn't recognized before. I had been allowing my own fears to suppress their existence. Samar guided me through things I was too scared to tackle on my own, sitting with me to explore various aspects of my life while staying focused on the core problem. Her advice was invaluable as I made significant moves, and her constant support throughout the process was incredibly reassuring. Looking back, it was almost like weaning off a baby, from a more hands-on approach to more hands-off and simple guidance. Unlike other coaches, Samar's approach was deeply impactful and fruitful - she listened intently, offered practical solutions, did research on what I needed to do to best help me with areas I was struggling in, and created a safe-space for growth and self-discovery.  She also has a unique perspective and can relate to a variety of things due to her background and personal experiences. Thanks to her, I feel more equipped to handle life's challenges and more hopeful about my future!

Most importantly, she has a strong religious foundation and the influence of that in her coaching is unmatched in her guidance, enabling us to make decisions that align with the will of Allah, who is in charge of all, who allows all to happen, and who is the All-Seeing, All-Hearing, and All-Knowing.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Samar to anyone seeking life, career, or business coaching because her approach is both deeply insightful and profoundly transformative. Samar's coaching is ideal for those who feel stuck, unsure of their next steps, or overwhelmed by life's challenges. Whether you're struggling to find direction in your career, balance in your life, or growth in your business, Samar provides the clarity, support, and actionable steps needed to move forward.

For those considering her services, have hope and take the leap. Samar's guidance will not only help you address immediate concerns but also connect you to your deeper purpose. Her unique ability to listen, understand, and help you articulate your struggles is unparalleled. She will sit with you, explore different aspects of your life, and stay focused on your major goals, offering practical advice and unwavering support throughout the entire process.

Life, career, and business coaching matter because they help us align our actions with our true purpose. They provide a structured path to self-discovery and empowerment, enabling us to overcome fears and achieve our fullest potential. Samar's coaching style is especially impactful because it fosters a sense of confidence, hope, and autonomy. She helps you name and tackle the things you're afraid to face, guiding you with empathy and expertise. In doing so, she not only helps you achieve your goals but also helps you discover a deeper, more meaningful connection to your life's purpose.”

Homeschooling Mom of Five
Anonymous Life Coaching Client

“I am a stay at home mother of 5, a homeschooling mom, and a lifelong learner. I have a very busy hectic schedule, and sometimes life can get overwhelming. I benefited greatly from life coaching sessions with Samar as she helped me put things into perspective and identify areas of improvement. Sometimes when we are in the thick of things we don’t have a clear vision of what’s going on or how to take steps toward reaching our goals. Samar’s positive attitude, confidence, rooted in Islamic values are definitely what drew me to her coaching.

After Coaching I saw things in a different light with a more positive outlook. I felt I was able to tackle tasks after having a clearer picture of what needed to be done and what my priorities were. Samar is sincere in her approach and dedicated to helping her clients reach results. She is truly invested in the wellbeing of her clients and that’s one thing that sets her apart from other providers.

I would recommend Samar because of her passion for providing guidance based in Islam. The best fit for her services is young adults as she has a unique way of communicating with them. Personal growth is a major factor in all aspects of our lives. Investing in our own growth will heavily impact all of our relationships. It will impact our careers, our outlook on life, and our choices. Personal growth is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and having a mentor or coach to see us through our journey and guide us is a huge blessing. This will assist us in reaching our ultimate purpose in life which is pleasing Allah swt.”

Fatimah — College Student
Life Coaching Client

“My name is Fatimah and I am a Palestinian American Muslim living in SoCal. I am a college student studying to be a journalist. I love to read and write in my spare time. I did life coaching with Samar.

The only doubt I had walking into my session was whether coaching could truly help me replace my bad habits with good ones. I was surprised to learn how valuable and effective life coaching is and am extremely grateful to have done it with Samar. At the time, I was struggling with balancing school and work. I was juggling too many commitments at once without managing my time. I said yes to life coaching in order to dig deep and identify why I had such bad time management and how to improve.

I felt hopeful after coaching with Samar. I was able to identify the bad choices I was making in my life that were negatively impacting it and create a template of sorts of actions I could take to overcome the bad habits and replace them with good ones. Before, I was not actively pursuing change in my life. After coaching with Samar, I had the motivation and tools to address and overcome my bad time management and procrastination.

I have never done coaching before so I couldn’t compare it to other services or products. Samar’s coaching style has increased my trust in her, personal sense of confidence, hope, and self-efficacy. My faults didn’t have to stay. I could and would implement the work in order to progress in school, work, and in life.

I would recommend walking into a session with an open mind to those seeking coaching. I believe everyone can benefit from Samar’s services because of her ability to listen and advise others in order to help them improve. Coaching matters because a coach is there to not just listen to you but to also help you improve in a way where they don’t sugarcoat the road you need to take in order to truly improve rather than help you cover your shortcomings with excuses.”

Alisha — College Student Employed Part-time
Career & Life Coaching Client

“I'm currently a university student in my early twenties. A doubt or fear I had before my session with Sister Samar was probably the fact that I had never done a life coaching session before in my life – the main reason being the fact that you have to open up to somebody. But I think my main fear there was not being heard correctly or just kind of brushed aside. Another concern I had was kind of talking about the issue that I was facing, but not really receiving a plan to tackle that issue. I was not familiar with the whole process of life coaching. Those were a few of my doubts, concerns, or fears which were all debunked after the session.

My thought process to decide yes to life coaching with Samar was kind of just a standard yes, because knowing Sister Samar’s background and knowing that she is also a Muslim woman like myself, made it a lot easier to make a decision. It's a lot easier to open up to somebody who is kind of on the same journey as you as a Muslim woman. I still remember feeling after session number one and session number two, feeling a sense of being satisfied with my care, as Baymax would say, because I really felt heard and the fears and doubts and concerns that I had before the session, with not being heard correctly, being brushed aside, being judged – none of that actually happened during the session. It was actually the complete opposite.

Sister Samar went through my thought process and asked me questions about the issue to help me think through the problem, instead of: “this is the issue, how do I solve it.” Things before coaching with Sister Samar were very unclear. I felt like this was a problem that I would always face, and that is something that I couldn't get help with.  But after my coaching session, things were a lot clearer as to the avenues that I could take to help dilute the problem and to solve it completely. During the sessions, we actually went through creating a sort of plan, like a tasks and actions list to tackle. What day of the week I'm going to work on this to help solve the issue? What is the task that I'm going to work on? So essentially, it kind of changed my mindset a little bit because it helped me realize that when you're knee deep in a problem, you feel like there's no way out. But Sister Samar does a really good job at not only reassuring you that there is a way out, but also giving you plans, items of action and to help you feel a little bit more relief that someone is there helping and guiding you through it. So you're not alone in your issue.

I've actually never done life coaching in the past. But I will say that Sister Samar’s coaching style has really increased my trust in her, but also my trust in myself. Just the way that she leads the sessions in and of itself is the literal definition of judgment-free zone. Through these sessions, it's been impactful, not only in the way that I've been able to find someone that I can open up to when I need help, but it's also been just a positive and fruitful experience.

Not only does she help guide you throughout the sessions to find the possible root cause of the problem that you're facing, but also possible solutions. One of the things that I really loved about my session was that she helped me create a path, a guideline for myself to help take baby steps to try and fix the problem. That was something that really resonated with me because a lot of the times when you think of therapy, you think of just info dump. I really, really loved how it wasn't just all take it out and let it hope that it can just stay there, but also let's come up with a plan to help you face this. That was one of the more impactful and positive parts of my sessions that made them such a positive experience for me.

Any Muslim woman who is currently undergoing trials or hardship in her life – life coaching is for you, especially from another Muslim woman. Even if your problem is small, even if it seems insignificant, it does not hurt to have a life coaching session, especially one with Sister Samar, because she provides you a very safe space to talk and open up. She doesn't force you to open up. She allows you to speak on the issue as you want while also providing certain questions that can help you internally with your thought process and guiding toward understanding what the root cause might be. If you're somebody who is working or is a university student, I would definitely recommend career coaching with Sister Samar. If you are looking to grow in your career or possible avenues to grow, or even if you're facing an issue, I would recommend talking to Sister Samar. If you're looking to start up a business or already have a business, maybe you're an entrepreneur – I would also recommend that you talk to Sister Samar.

For Muslim women as well – or any woman really – because I know that Sister Samar is a great resource and a great coach to help you not only navigate issues, but to help you grow spiritually and personally and career-wise as well. So I would say that anybody from what I just listed would greatly benefit from a coaching session or coaching sessions with Sister Samar.

And if you're like me – I was scared to have a life coaching session because I had never done one before, or you’re scared to open up because you’re afraid of being judged, I would say that I was there and now I'm here. I was like that once, and I can assure you that Sister Samar 100% does not make any judgements based on your issues. Her only goal is to help you come out of that problem, to help you work on that problem, to help you grow. So I would say that if you are looking to connect with your purpose, maybe in life or in a career or in a business, then I would strongly recommend that you get either life, career or business coaching with Sister Samar.”
